The Eastern Bluebird, a small thrush, is familiar to all of us. After suffering a population decline in the 1960's and 70's, its numbers have increased due to an aggressive campaign to build hole birdhouses. They enjoy nesting at the edge of open fields and spaces such as golf courses. Thanks to Michael Maffett for the submission. |
