Spiderwort is a common and widely distributed wildflower which lends itself to domestication. Each bloom lasts only one day - but each stem can produce up to 20 blooms. This beautiful cluster was photographed by Michael Maffett at Addis Gap, one mile from the end of West Wildcat Creek Road, near the Appalachian Trail. |
