LBCA Membership Application

LBCA membership is open to anyone interested in the important issues facing us in northeast Georgia.  Regular membership in the LBCA includes individuals and spouses living within, or adjacent to, the boundary roads around Lake Burton (US 76, GA 197, Burton Dam Road, Bridge Creek Road, and Charlie Mountain Road) and all subdivisions fronting on those roads.  Associate membership is open to anyone interested in supporting the LBCA and receives all benefits of regular membership, except for voting at the annual membership meeting.  We encourage all adult children and extended family members of those owning property in the area to join LBCA as members in their own right so that they may directly receive the benefits of membership and help the civic association in its efforts to address the issues facing all of us.  The small amount of dues you pay to LBCA is a great investment in your property.

Often, we become aware of time sensitive matters that need to be communicated to LBCA members.  Because the LBCA Newsletter may not be timely enough to get these notices to the membership, we have begun sending e-mail broadcasts.  To receive these important alerts, you must be an LBCA member and have a valid e-mail address in our database system.  Be sure to include your e-mail address in the space provided on the LBCA Membership Application.

A significant portion of the dues and fund-raising efforts (through the Lake Burton Civic Association Foundation, Inc.) support the area’s Volunteer Fire Departments and the Lake Burton Fire and Rescue Boat.  The dues also help offset major expenses – including meetings, printing, and postage.

The LBCA needs your support in order to continue its work within Rabun County.  This civic association – with 950 to 1,000 families is able to gain the attention of locally elected officials.  If all 1,400 to 1,500 families in our boundary area were members, the association's influence would be even greater.  Please encourage your neighbors and your adult children to continue their membership – or join if they are not already members!
