LBCA Awards Scholarships to 30 Graduating Seniors
The Lake Burton Civic Association Foundation presented 30 Rabun County High School seniors with scholarships totaling $73,000 on May 20th at the Rabun High School Senior Awards Ceremony.
Russell N. & Sara Singleton Ivie Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was awarded to Sean Thompson, who graduated second in his class. Sean will attend Georgia Tech, where he will major in engineering. The scholarship is for $3,000 per year for four years.
Louise and Bobby Dodd Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was awarded to Rosanna Watts, who graduated seventh in her class. Rosanna will attend Brenau University where she will major in early childhood education. The scholarship is for $1,250 per year for four years.
Additional scholarships totaling $56,000 were awarded to the following 28 graduating seniors: Parker Alley, Allie Almanza, Jesse Barlow, Sam Bautista, Elijah Brewer, Morgan Butts, Kirsten Cross, Brittany Dills, Lauren Dolinski, Amber Dresser, Katlin Gragg, Cassidy Harkins, Brooke Henricks, Chason Huggins, Grace Johnson, Kendall Jones, Ashley Jordan, Chayton Long, Chris Lopez, Wesley Martin, Grayson Mitchem, Stephen Nix, Kasin Old, Isaac Oakes, Emma Owens, Chase Reed, Janae Steill, and Vinnie Williams.
These scholarships were made possible by generous donations contributed to the Lake Burton Civic Association Scholarship Fund by LBCA members.
