Labor Day Events on Lake Burton
Labor Day honors the contributions of American workers, and there's no better place to mark it than Lake Burton. As summer winds down and the mountains begin hinting at fall color, it's the perfect weekend to rest, give thanks for hard work, and savor the lake one last time before the season turns.
On Sunday, September 6, the Lake Burton Civic Association will be hosting the 6th Annual Wooden Boat Parade and Show. The parade will begin at 11 am at Timpson Cove and end at LaPrade's Marina around noon. Many of the boats will be on display at LaPrades from 12:00-1:00 pm, and will feature a variety of wooden boats, from classic antique boats to modern-day vessels.
On Sunday, September 6, the Lake Burton Civic Association will be hosting a Summer Vibes Concert featuring The Entertainers. The concert will be held from 6:30 pm-dark, followed by a fireworks show by Hal Rhoad of Lake Burton Fireworks.
Both events are free and open to the public. So join us at Lake Burton and celebrate Labor Day weekend with us!
