How much does membership cost?Regular Membership - $120 Family Membership - $170 Silver Sustaining Membership - $270 Gold Sustaining Membership - $370 Associate Membership - $200 What is the difference between the membership types?Regular Membership includes two adults in the same family. Family Membership includes all of the adult children (and spouses) of a primary member who share one residence. Co-owners other than spouses and other family members are considered separate families for membership purposes. Silver Sustaining Membership includes the same benefits as a Family Membership plus a tax-deductible donation of $100 to the Lake Burton Civic Association Foundation. This donation will help fund the charitable efforts and grants of the foundation. Gold Sustaining Membership includes the same benefits as a Family Membership plus a tax-deductible donation of $200 to the Lake Burton Civic Association Foundation. This donation will help fund the charitable efforts and grants of the foundation. Associate Membership is open to any person or organization interested in supporting the LBCA and receives all the benefits of Regular Membership, except for voting at the annual meeting and serving as an LBCA officer or board member. When does the lake drawdown?Lake Burton “Winter Rule Curve” Annual Drawdown Schedule November 1 – Lake starts down gradually from normal 1865.0 elevation. To receive a construction permit for new structures or for maintenance of existing structures, a construction application must be submitted to Georgia Power for approval.
